On-site in-depth consultations for each team across 10 provinces nationwide

From 24 February - 30 March B.E. 2569, the Project’s consulting team travelled to assess the potential of all 10 teams and provide in-depth on-site advice. The team included volunteer engineers from CH. Karnchang’s engineering division (electrical and civil), an industrial product design academic from Chulalongkorn University, online marketing consultants from Digital Byte, and CH. Karnchang’s finance and accounting team.

The progress observed during the visits varied from team to team. For example, the charcoal-waste gas stove team in Buriram Province has already produced and sold more than 50 stoves, priced at 8,500-12,000 baht each depending on the model. The coffee roaster made from scrap metal team in Chiang Rai Province has built a new prototype using entirely new materials, with a 1 kg capacity and a cost of around 20,000 baht. The team also increased the roasting chamber’s thickness to 9 millimetres to retain heat more effectively. The sprinkler firebreak team in Lamphun Province is developing an IoT-connected control system that can be operated remotely via mobile phone, and is replacing the plastic control box with a metal one that is waterproof and heat-resistant. The elephant alert device for elephants leaving the forest team in Nakhon Ratchasima Province has added an audio system to deter elephants and an infrared camera for monitoring both day and night; the fastenings connecting the pins to the rope still need to be made more secure. In the crafts sector, Thorani Art in Nakhon Ratchasima Province has begun developing a DIY product called “Thrni Art Boxset”, while the faux leather made from cocoa husks product in Sa Kaeo Province is already being sold and is undergoing further development of its patterns and antifungal formula.
