Wealthi: a microloan app for people overlooked by banks
Champion cohort 8 (B.E. 2561) that developed its own credit scoring system to provide microloans to groups with no access to loans from financial institutions

Many Thai workers face financial difficulties, especially low-income groups who cannot access bank loans and often have to rely on high-interest informal loans, adding to their existing financial burdens.
Wealthi launched its microloan app in B.E. 2560 and joined BC4C in cohort 8 (B.E. 2561), with its own credit scoring system to screen borrowers who are not considered by conventional banks. It provides loans of 500-5,000 baht at fair interest rates. Initially, its business model focused mainly on reducing interest burdens, but the economic crisis caused by COVID-19 from B.E. 2563 onwards prompted Wealthi to expand into leasing services to help borrowers generate additional income rather than simply reduce expenses. These include agricultural drones, electric motorbikes and vending machines, with financing of 30,000-500,000 baht.
By B.E. 2566, Wealthi had supported more than 15,000 microloan borrowers and more than 440 borrowers using its leasing services, with a total of more than 300 million baht in loans disbursed.
