Thailand’s growing social enterprise ecosystem around BC4C
BC4C is recognised as one of Thailand’s longest-running social enterprise incubation programmes, amid a gradual increase in support for social enterprises.

A B.E. 2560 report described BC4C as one of Thailand’s longest-running incubation programmes focused specifically on social enterprises. At the time, the social enterprise ecosystem was still relatively small, with Ashoka Thailand and Ma:D as key partners working alongside ChangeFusion to support people who wanted to start social enterprises.
The report also noted that, over the following years, new supporters of social enterprises began to emerge, such as the National Innovation Agency (NIA), G-Lab and SET Social Impact. As a result, many BC4C alumni sought additional support from these programmes alongside BC4C after completing the programme.
By B.E. 2566, this ecosystem had grown more visibly, with the Office of Social Enterprise Promotion, the Social Enterprise Thailand Association (SE Thailand) and Taejai also becoming part of Thailand’s social enterprise support landscape. This reflects how BC4C has seen the ecosystem it helped pioneer grow steadily around it over the past decade or more.
