Child Impact successfully connects its system with Kid for Kids, producing and publishing new content continuously

ChangeFusion and the Kid for Kids Project, together with Office 4, designed a mechanism for connecting data between the two parties. Kid for Kids serves as the source of issues concerning children and families, which are conveyed through Child Impact to practitioners and partner organisations. This work also involved developing a Taxonomy structure with 14 categories and 55 tags, and an AI-powered mechanism for extracting and writing content from Kid for Kids’ annual reports on the situation of children and families, Youth Survey Dashboard, and other research.

The system is now live. Child Impact uses AI to read, summarise and synthesise key issues from Kid for Kids into new feature articles, following the agreed Taxonomy structure. It gives greater weight to research reports, annual situation reports and analyses than to interviews, and regularly publishes new content on the Child Impact website.

At the same time, Projects on the Child Impact platform can select macro-level issues aligned with this Taxonomy, in addition to the 7+1 issue framework of ThaiHealth. This makes it possible to trace the connection from initial issues through to outcomes on the ground without interruption, and lays the groundwork for Office 4 to use this Taxonomy structure to create a chain of outcomes (COO) in the following year.

The team believes that, in the long term, issues arising from the work of partners on the ground can also become part of the Taxonomy. This will build on the mechanism as a collaborative approach that connects the full chain, from the root causes of problems through to issues and outcomes.
