moreloop: Turning surplus factory fabric into a circular economy

Garment factories often order more fabric than they need, as a buffer for repeat production. However, this surplus fabric is often not enough for the next production run, so it remains in stock and eventually ends up in landfill or is sold as scrap to recycling buyers at a low price. Much of this surplus fabric is high-quality, export-grade material with considerable market potential if it is sorted and matched with suitable small-scale manufacturers.

moreloop selects good-quality surplus fabric from garment factories and connects it with companies and SMEs, either as raw fabric or as upcycled products such as uniforms, fabric bags and souvenirs for various events. This adds value to surplus fabric and reduces waste in the garment industry, while meeting the needs of companies looking for high-quality fabric and responding to the growing importance businesses place on sustainability.

By B.E. 2566, moreloop had upcycled more than 69,000 yards of surplus fabric, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by around 299 tonnes. moreloop joined the BC4C growth acceleration programme in its first cohort in B.E. 2565, and its revenue has continued to grow, from 12 million baht (B.E. 2566) to 17 million baht (B.E. 2568).
