Following field visits to both provinces, and discussions with the Suan. team and teams from various areas at the cross-area meeting in December B.E. 2567, ChangeFusion proposed the following initial directions for developing the Micro-apps and platform:

Micro-apps to be developed

  • Self-assessment app for diabetes status Adapted from the questions and formula used by the diabetes status assessment system on the current platform, with fewer questions and less collection of personal information. It will focus only on questions used to calculate diabetes status and provide results in 5 risk levels, each with a corresponding colour and recommendations, then link to the self-care information app.

  • Self-care information app For people at different levels of diabetes status. Users enter their own diabetes level. If they do not know it, they are directed to complete the assessment in the first app before being linked to this app. The content will present sets of information, such as relevant infographics, e-books and videos, selected by the project and supplemented with information pre-selected from ThaiHealth’s Persona app.

  • Health indicator interpretation app For indicators such as weight, body fat and muscle mass. It will interpret these in relation to users’ sex, age and diabetes status, helping them understand any health issues or risks, and link to the self-care information app.

  • Food calculator app Helps users see how many grams of protein and how many kCal of energy each ingredient or food provides. It will also include popular local dishes with their protein and energy values, to help staff and users plan suitable meals for service users.

Central platform system

  • Update the service-user Landing page to display diabetes status, recommendations, health indicator records, goal setting and assessment of goal achievement on one page rather than across separate pages, creating a continuous flow of use.

  • Update the Landing page for Local admins in each area to display an area Dashboard, comprising 1) a list of service users with links to their information; 2) the number and distribution of service users across the 5 diabetes levels; and 3) the number of service users with various health indicator levels—normal/abnormal—broken down by diabetes level, with the ability to compare data between two time periods.
