Reviewing the ecosystem in B.E. 2566: from a starting point to a community of social entrepreneurs

The B.E. 2566 impact assessment report surveyed additional alumni from cohorts 7-11 and combined their responses with the findings of the B.E. 2560 survey. It found that 40% of alumni respondents saw BC4C as a launchpad for many social enterprises, while 32% viewed the programme as a kind of “melting pot” that connected them with other social enterprises and helped them develop a community of mutual support.

External organisations, including the Office of Social Enterprise Promotion, the Social Enterprise Thailand Association (SE Thailand), the National Innovation Agency and Taejai, also agreed that BC4C is one of Thailand’s most outstanding social enterprise incubation programmes.

The report concludes with 4 recommendations: (1) set clear goals for after the programme, connecting Champions in the final cohort with suitable funding sources or investors; (2) use the SE School platform as a channel for continued learning for alumni after the programme; (3) strengthen the alumni community through more structured networking activities, rather than limiting connections to people from the same cohort; and (4) share mentors and networks with other social enterprise supporters to expand alumni access to experts and customers.
